About the Artist

Hi I'm Jennie!
I've been painting for over 15 years, but my love for art started much earlier. I grew up surrounded by creativity as my dad was a painter who filled our home with stunning abstract and nature-inspired pieces. It wasn’t until a high school drawing class that I truly discovered my own passion. Art came naturally to me, and I dove in headfirst, taking every class I could. Painting quickly became my favorite medium.
Even through college, the dream of being an artist never left me. I wasn’t sure how to make it a career, but I kept creating, sharing and selling my work to friends, family, and even strangers who found me through social media. In 2024, everything changed when I started experimenting with oil paints. They allowed me to express myself more freely and brought my vision to life in ways I hadn’t experienced before.
While I’m deeply inspired by nature, I enjoy creating all kinds of work such as portraits and meaningful, custom pieces. I'm always catching myself wondering, "ooo..what would that look like as a painting?" I create each piece with the hope that it brings beauty, emotion and inspiration to someone else's world, just like art has always done for me.

About my inspiration.. My dad!
Getting to paint alongside my dad has been one of the most meaningful parts of my artistic journey. He has always inspired me to create and is the reason I fell in love with painting. My dad (Chad Lubbers) has been an artist his entire life, balancing a career in graphic design while always making time to paint. I
grew up watching him bring nature, wildlife and abstract (his favorite) ideas to life on canvas, wood, old closet doors and even a piano. He pushes me to experiment and reminds me that art doesn't have to be perfect. I feel incredibly grateful that we can continue to create together. I inserted some of his works throughout the years below. Thanks for being here!
